چکیده

Methods Contrast-enhanced MRA from 21 patients were included. MR images were acquired using a 1.5T MRI scanner with a spoiled 3D FLASH acquisition and a 4x2 circularly polarized phased-array neck coil. Four consecutive 3D images were acquired starting at approximately 3s after the administration of 0.1 mmoL/kg gadolinium. Subtraction images were generated to improve vessel-to-background contrast. To demonstrate the methods’ robustness against image noise, nine subtraction images were included. Curved multiplanar reformatted image slices were generated perpendicular to the vessel direction and an expert drew luminal contours on these slices. A fullwidth half-maximum criterion was applied to maintain the contour consistency, particularly for low vessel-tolumen contrast area. The user defined the artery section of interest by placing proximal and distal points. Subsequently, an

Image Quality and Stenosis Assessment of Non-Contrast-Enhanced 3-T Magnetic Resonance Angiography in Patients with Peripheral Artery Disease Compared with Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Digital Subtraction Angiography

PURPOSE To evaluate the diagnostic performance of flow-sensitive dephasing (FSD)-prepared steady-state free precession (SSFP) magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) at 3 T for imaging infragenual arteries relative to contrast-enhanced MRA (CE-MRA) and digital subtraction angiography (DSA). MATERIALS AND METHODS A series of 16 consecutive patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) underwent...

Three-Dimensional Model-Based Stenosis Quantification of the Carotid Arteries from Contrast-Enhanced MR Angiography

A model-based technique for quantitative analysis of three-dimensional magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) is presented. The model consists of a deformable B-spline representation of the central vessel axis and the vessel wall. An efficient interaction mechanism to initialize the models in a three-dimensional setting is devised. Two novel image features are introduced in order to deform the ce...

Noninvasive detection of steno-occlusive disease of the supra-aortic arteries with three-dimensional contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography: a prospective, intra-individual comparative analysis with digital subtraction angiography.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Concomitant disease of the supra-aortic arteries can influence the outcome of surgical treatment of carotid artery stenosis. However, sensitivity and specificity data of noninvasive contrast-enhanced 3-dimensional (3D) magnetic resonance angiography (CE MRA) for the detection of steno-occlusive disease of the entire supra-aortic arteries including the circle of Willis rem...

A Deformable Vessel Model with Single Point Initialization for Segmentation, Quantification and Visualization of Blood Vessels in 3D MRA

We deal with image segmentation applied to three-dimensional (3D) analysis of vascular morphology in magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) images. The main goal of our work is to develop a fast and reliable method for stenosis quantification. The first step towards this purpose is the extraction of the vessel axis by an expansible skeleton method. Vessel boundaries are then detected in the plane...

گزارش یک مورد آنژیوپلاستی و Stent گذاری موفق در درمان تنگی

Introduction: Renal transplantation has established itself as the treatment of choice for the majority of patients with End stage renal failure(ESRF). Arterial stenosis is the most common vascular complication after kidney transplantation, occurring in approximately 4%-25% of transplant recipients. Case Report: The patient is a 68 year old man with ESRF due to Poly cystic kidney disease(PCK...
